Did you know that the phenomenon did not begin with HSM? Britney Spears herself came from the Disney family as well, and so was Christina Aguilera. You must be aware of the many great things they have accomplished in their careers in pop music, based on your shelf which has their albums or maybe posters of them that used to be on your wall.

And don’t you get me started on Miley Cyrus. It would not be possible for today’s pop teen sensation to not see the fame that arose in the recognition of her gift of singing, dancing and acting. Yes, made possible by Disney!

Try to analyze, what’s the group that’s never left out on all the pop charts? What keeps leaving kids shrieking for more? What brings us to our last song syndrome? The kids from goody-two-shoes Disney, of course!

There came a season when the tunes of Highschool Musical were the most sung and the most played… and I believe up to now, they still are. In spite a few scandals from the cast members, they remain sought after. It was believed to be a phenomenon; the number of teens watching from their living rooms just could not be counted. Projects have been announced such as the musical “Camp Rock” starring the Jonas Brothers, that’s being hoped to have the same Highschool Musical fame. So, Disney has a lot more in store for the pop cycle.

In recognition for those seven successful years, the program has shown America that they have certainly made something out of themselves. Winners of the show—even the finalists—have made it to places. Shrieking fans, successful album releases, awards and nominations (even an Oscar), and so much more that happened and has yet to follow. This also proves that the judges chose the right ones.

Almost all the artists that are fresh from the competition chose the pop scene as the genre for their albums, like Katharine McPhee, Blake Lewis, Jordin Sparks and to name a few. Which explains why up to now, they’re still being voted for.

One of the most watched television programs of all time. People not only from America, but also from different other countries across the globe that try their best to miss anything but a night of outstanding talent.

The current season, which is the seventh one, would have to be in my opinion, the best there is. Mixed with marvelous voices, the charisma, even the looks that make us all go gaga, the uniqueness, and the performances that will make you stand on your feet. They sure proved that it’s not just the voice that’s one way ticket to stardom, but their ability to attract millions of Americans who have control of how long they will stay in the competition.

Directors add abstract creativity and dandy colors to videos, and Blake Lewis’ “Break Anotha” may be an example. But then you probably remembered one of Robyn and Mika’s works first.

Whether you’re on the look out for something sexy, The Pussycat Dolls have a lot to serve, or you’re just feeling easy and mild, Snow Patrol’s “Signal Fire” has the cutest thing that’s just right for you.

Evidently, music videos add to our delight in the pop scene, and admit it, you switch the remote to MTV every now and then. These MTV’s contribute a great help to the artist’s career. There are also opportunities to win awards and gain fame.

An addition to a fan’s love for a song could be its music video. Wouldn’t we have loved JT’s “My Love” more if it weren’t for those killer moves and black and white magic? Wasn’t it the ‘Soulja boy dance’ seen in the “Crank Dat” video that got us totally voting for the single? Every artist and every director has his own method of putting audio and video together brilliantly, and be able to produce something viewers might like as much as they do with the song.

The scenes of a music video must, of course, reflect the message and emotions of the lyrics. It’s just like the two characters we’ve seen in Daniel Powter’s “Bad Day” that by the looks of their faces, they really were having a bad day, and you might remember all the hot cars we predicted we’d see in Rihanna’s “Shut Up And Drive”.

There was never a year in pop music history that I was able to locate a flaw that affected the entire genre. I was about to compose something that might discuss about some of the industry’s possible slip-ups, but after researching hits from the years passed, there weren’t any. All praise the artists involved who kept its consistency, and the ones behind the music that uplifts us in every mood we could get into. We know that this world of pop serves us well, and we know that its growth will continue on. For good reason, we’d somehow learn to return the favor, and we have so many ways to do so. One is to restrict ourselves from piracy, and even if it has nothing to do with giving them something back, you still should abhor and go against this crime.

Another is to support through voting, that is, if you’re that dedicated to support the musicians this way, which I’m sure most of the enthusiasts are.
