Lady Gaga’s sophomore album Born This Way may still be months away from being released but the pop superstar and newest pop icon is doing quite well drumming up publicity for her new album.
The best way she could bring attention to her album though is her new single Born This Way. The new single is already gaining a lot of airplay and also praise from a lot of pop music fans. Some critics also have some positive words for the single and are now anticipating what the second album will bring and if it will show a maturity in Lady Gaga’s music.

These are my favorite pop artists from number four to ten. They are simply amazing. Most of them already made a trademark in the music industry. They are the artists you can’t simply just forget.

    4. Whitney Houston. Her powerful voice is just so amazing.

    5. Britney Spears. Though her career is going through a rough road right now, I still believe that she is one of the best performers ever.

    6. Madonna. The way she reinvents herself from time to time is remarkable

    7. Janet Jackson. She’s just the icon!

    8. Christina Aguilera

    9. 98 Degrees

    10. Michael Jackson

Who are responsible for the manufacture, distribution and promotion of a particular recording? There are top 4 major pop record labels namely the Universal Music Group, Sony BMG Music Entertainment, EMI Group and Warner Music Group. They are responsible for 70% of music sales worldwide and 85% of music sales in the U.S.

Among the four record labels, the Universal Music Group sells more music with their key artists such as Black Eyed Peas, Mariah Carey and 50 Cent. The second biggest major record label is the Sony BMG Music with key artists Kelly Clarkson, Shakira, Alicia Keys, Britney Spears and Outkast. While EMI Group landed as the third biggest major record label and lastly the Warner Music Group which accounts for 11.3% of the market last 2005.

michaelI know… a lot of you’ll be shakin’ your head or clicking on the back button for sure but hear me out. He may be a star from the past but Michael Jackson is still the King of Pop and might even be the world’s best selling artist of all time, even if he is now bankrupt and accused of many a crimes. Want to disagree, then check out the charts and his album keeps on top as one of the best selling albums of all time. “The essential Michael Jackson”, has repeatedly been on top than most other artist. He may have made a lot of wrong decisions in life but the pure talent and life he brought to the stage and music was something to behold indeed. Go around and ask anybody about Beyonce Knowles and somebody will surely have not heard of her, ask about Michael, well everybody knows Michael. Like Madonna who has actually manages to surpass the glory of the king of pop by still being in the groove of the industry as one of the longest music careers of all time.
His music, energy and should we call it flair for the stage with his elaborate music videos and stage sets that involved hundreds of performers and artists all doing the same thing, bring his music to life as he delivers his songs over and over again. Listening to the radio, you would surely rock your head from side to side when you hear Beat It or some other of his many hits. Now ridiculed by many but secretly loved by most, he remains as the pop star he truly is, the star that is Michael Jackson.

A star is a star though many would disagree, you have to give credit to all the hard work she has put into reviving her career and getting back on top of the POP scene she oh so loves. Almost 10 years after the release of her controversial “One More time” MTV, she does it again with “Womanizer” and the many other songs on her new album. Considering she started the year in the hospital and the next few months under psychiatric observation, she’s done good. She’s appeared on TV facing the criticism and intrigue fearlessly, laughing them off as mere parts of a diva’s life. Now, after many court appearances and disappearances, restraining orders and hospital visits, she gets back on track with “Circus“. What she’s done is close to impossible, resurrecting a career left in shambles in just 12 months. Whether she does a complete comeback, nobody knows but her.

Did you know that the phenomenon did not begin with HSM? Britney Spears herself came from the Disney family as well, and so was Christina Aguilera. You must be aware of the many great things they have accomplished in their careers in pop music, based on your shelf which has their albums or maybe posters of them that used to be on your wall.

And don’t you get me started on Miley Cyrus. It would not be possible for today’s pop teen sensation to not see the fame that arose in the recognition of her gift of singing, dancing and acting. Yes, made possible by Disney!

Try to analyze, what’s the group that’s never left out on all the pop charts? What keeps leaving kids shrieking for more? What brings us to our last song syndrome? The kids from goody-two-shoes Disney, of course!

There came a season when the tunes of Highschool Musical were the most sung and the most played… and I believe up to now, they still are. In spite a few scandals from the cast members, they remain sought after. It was believed to be a phenomenon; the number of teens watching from their living rooms just could not be counted. Projects have been announced such as the musical “Camp Rock” starring the Jonas Brothers, that’s being hoped to have the same Highschool Musical fame. So, Disney has a lot more in store for the pop cycle.

In recognition for those seven successful years, the program has shown America that they have certainly made something out of themselves. Winners of the show—even the finalists—have made it to places. Shrieking fans, successful album releases, awards and nominations (even an Oscar), and so much more that happened and has yet to follow. This also proves that the judges chose the right ones.

Almost all the artists that are fresh from the competition chose the pop scene as the genre for their albums, like Katharine McPhee, Blake Lewis, Jordin Sparks and to name a few. Which explains why up to now, they’re still being voted for.

One of the most watched television programs of all time. People not only from America, but also from different other countries across the globe that try their best to miss anything but a night of outstanding talent.

The current season, which is the seventh one, would have to be in my opinion, the best there is. Mixed with marvelous voices, the charisma, even the looks that make us all go gaga, the uniqueness, and the performances that will make you stand on your feet. They sure proved that it’s not just the voice that’s one way ticket to stardom, but their ability to attract millions of Americans who have control of how long they will stay in the competition.
